Recap: The World of Kiehl’s Staycation

The surreal 2-night experience that is the World of Khiel’s

It’s been a while since I last posted, but it feels good to be back again! (:

Some of you may already know that I’ve recently attended World of Kiehl’s 2019 Staycation for two nights – and yes, it was a DREAM!

It was so good where I began to feel that posts and stories alone simply weren’t enough to capture how amazing of an experience it was and how much effort Kiehl’s has put into the project. Thus, I thought I would write a little blog to share some of my favorite moments from the trip!

Day 1.

We stopped at Keihl’s first ever flagship store where we had the opportunity to explore the store and even had the pleasure of meeting the entire team, including the President of Kiehl’s. They took the time to educate us about the brand’s history and learned that it started off as a full-service pharmacy. The brand has been around since 1851 and was founded in East Village, New York; just a few blocks away from my old apartment – how crazy and cool!

Next, we headed over to Hoxton Hotel in Williamsburg, where we stayed for the next two nights. The room was filled with Kiehl’s goodies and I was in awe. We later went back to Manhattan for a surprise activation, which we later found out was called “Kiehl’s Calendula.” We got to witness the brand’s OFFICIAL GLOBAL launch of Kiehl’s newest product called “Calendula Serum-infused Water Cream” alongside Keihl’s entire team and all the invited brand partners. The moment felt surreal and beautiful confetti just pleasantly rained down upon us. Everyone was ecstatic to be a part of the launch.

Following the launch activation, we went to Saks for an exclusive beauty event to continue the celebration for the Calendula Serum-infused Water Cream (which is pure magic btw – I’ve already seen results with just a few days of use). Lastly, we ended the day with a lovely meal at L’Avenue inside of Saks.

Day 2.

All the guests gathered early in the morning in the hotel lobby for an Earth Day Clean Up activity at Brooklyn Bridge Park with Earth Day Network. It was such a rewarding experience to be able to give back to the community as a team. We collectively collected a total of 306 lbs of waste – it’s true that teamwork makes the dream work!

Later that day, we attended the Made Better Event and learned all about the brand’s ingredients and sourcing process – it truly amazes me how much effort the brand is putting in for the Go Green movement and it has motivated me to become a more conscious shopper in the future.


We ended the trip at Prospect Boathouse with a team dinner which included influencers that Keihls had invited from around the world in over 25 global markets. The setup could not have been any dreamier!



Days after the trip, I’m still reflecting all on the things I’ve learned from the experience – I was deeply inspired. Huge thanks to the Kiehl’s team for the warmest hospitality and for the enormous effort they’ve put into this staycation, sustainable practices in manufacturing and recycling, and community commitments.
